Leeds

The city of Leeds is the capital of the region of Yorkshire and the Humber in England. It has a population of 715,000. Leeds’ economy is service based with the majority of employees in Leeds working in the service sector. Despite a decline in manufacturing, this sector is still vibrant, and Leeds hosts the second largest manufacturing sector outside London. The city of Leeds has 99 councillors representing 33 wards. Leeds is part of the Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) that accounts for 2.4 million inhabitants that it shares with the city of Bradford.
