Cluj-Napoca

Cluj-Napoca is one of the largest and most important cities in Romania, located in the North-Western Region in the centre of the Cluj County. The city is spread over an area of 179.5 km², with a population of 317,953. The Cluj-Napoca’s industry dominated by manufacturing, machinery and equipment, IT and office services, furniture, food and beverages, textile products and clothing.. The Cluj-Napoca Municipality also attracts a considerable amount of tourism, due to its rich historical and cultural The Municipality is governed by the Mayor and the Local Council of the city, with 27 elected members. The Municipality keeps a good command over the system of civil distribution infrastructure: water pipes, public sewerage system and the natural gas distribution. The city is part of a Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) with a population of 348,943.
