Czestochowa

The city of Czestochowa is situated in the southern part of Poland and has a population of 248,032.

The city is surrounded by rocky Jurassic hills typical of the landscape of the Kraków-Czestochowa Highlands. Czestochowa is a city of historical and national heritage, with its precious monuments, yet being a modern city, has well developed infrastructure as well as social and economic facilities. Czestochowa is also large academic centre. The city is one of the largest pilgrimage centres for Catholics.

The city is a part of a Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) with a population of 466,735.
