Aalborg

Aalborg is located in the northern area of Denmark, and has a population of 162,000. Aalborg is home to a significant cluster of activity within the high technology industries. The public administration sector is also a major employer in the city. Aalborg city council is made up of 21 members who are elected by Aalborg’s citizens every four years. The members of the council then elect the Lord Mayor and the aldermen. The city is part of a Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) of just under 495,000 inhabitants.
