Augsburg

Augsburg is the third largest city of the German federal state of Bayern (Bavaria). The city has a population of nearly 260,000. The city is home to numerous internationally renowned companies that offer state-of-the-art computer and electronic technology. Tourism is also an important growth sector for the city’s economy. The city is part of a Larger Urban Zone (LUZ), as defined by the Urban Audit, of 615,000 inhabitants that covers an area of almost 2000 km2.
