Moers

Moers is located at the western edge of the Ruhr area in Germany. The city has a population of 107,000. Traditionally associated with mining and industry, the town’s economy is now more focused on the service sector. The key sectors today are food, chemicals, mechanical engineering, wood manufacturing, building materials, logistics, services and commerce. Moers is part of a Larger Urban Zone (LUZ), as defined by the Urban Audit, of over 5.3 million inhabitants which corresponds to the Ruhr area.
