Bochum

Bochum is located in the German federal state of Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine-Westphalia). The city has a population of 390,000. The city has built a considerable know-how in the fields of bio-medical technology, ICT, transport technology, R&D and the culture and leisure economy. Bochum is part of a Larger Urban Zone (LUZ), as defined by the Urban Audit, of over 5.3 million inhabitants which corresponds to the Ruhr area.
