Hannover

Hannover is the capital as well as the economic and cultural centre of the German federal state of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony). The city has a population of 516,000. The city of Hannover is a key player in the automotive industry, factory automation, energy (e.g. mobile applications), life sciences and the communications industry. The city is part of a Larger Urban Zone (LUZ), as defined by the Urban Audit, that covers an area of 2,965 km2 and contains over 1.2 million inhabitants.
